Our Investment Branch assists Ontario in generating new investment leads while helping multi-national or foreign-owned businesses expand within the province. The Branch also provides investment services to close transactions that create and retain jobs, markets Ontario to business immigrants, and provides corporate immigration services.
To generate qualified investment leads abroad, we employ a network of International Business Development Consultants (IBDCs). IBDCs are specialists in Ontario’s target sectors of Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Communications, IT and Business Services. Here, the Business Consultants nurture relationships with companies already doing business in Ontario as well as support the IBDCs in their work.
The Consultants in our Business Immigration Unit provide advice and information on the application procedure for immigrating to Canada, as well as provide referrals and introductions to other organizations and people who can assist in their move to Ontario.

Our trade consultants provide one-on-one consulting services, organize trade missions, participate in key international exhibitions, and market specific seminars.
Exporter development programs assist new exporters in acquiring knowledge of the export fundamentals. In selected areas, in-market agencies provide additional support to Ontario exporters.
