Ontario, Canada Abroad
The Government of Ontario, Canada has developed a network of International Marketing Centres (IMCs) in key global markets. The IMCs are part of the Investment and Trade Division, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
What International Marketing Centres do
Ontario's International Marketing Centres promote the broad economic interests of the Province of Ontario. Their activities include, but are not limited to:
- Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into Ontario;
- Promoting awareness of, and access to, Ontario-produced goods and services;
- Building strong, strategic relationships with the media and local governments;
- Networking to raise Ontario's profile as a world-class business jurisdiction; and
- Obtaining and disseminating timely commercial intelligence in key markets.
International Marketing Centre Locations
All IMCs are located within Canadian diplomatic missions abroad. The first three centres opened in 2002 in Munich, New York and Shanghai. There are now ten IMCs in eight countries:

- Mexico City, Mexico
- Paris, France
- Beijing, China
